Pack 144 Pocketknife Rules

Pack 144 recognizes that Cub Scouts look forward to using a pocketknife.  It is Pack 144's goal that any interested Cub Scout learns how to safely use a pocketknife with his parent's permission.  Pack 144 established the following mandatory policy for safe pocketknife use.

Cub Scouts may carry and use pocketknives ONLY when they obey the following rules:

NOTE:  Other Cub Scouts attending Pack/Den activities, that adhere to these stated rules, will be allowed to use pocket knives.

Cub Scouts who do not obey the Pack 144 Pocketknife Rules OR the Whittlin' Chip Card, will lose the privilege of carrying and using a pocket knife; and the knife and the card will be taken away from the Cub Scout and returned to the parent.  The following guidelines will be used:


___  I do not wish to allow my son to use a pocketknife under any circumstances.
